Today, I work on the side pocket flaps for the hiking pants, first stitching the front and back together using sandpaper cut to the finished size as a guide to prevent shifting.
今日はアウトドアパンツの脇ポケットフラップの制作。まずは仕上がりサイズにカットしたサンドペーパー（ズレ防止）をガイドに、フラップの表裏を地縫いします。
To shape the corners cleanly, I trim away the excess seam allowance.
フラップの角をきれいに仕上げるため、余分な縫い代をカットします。
I turn the flap right side out, insert cardstock cut to the finished size, and press it with an iron.
フラップを表に返し、仕上がりサイズにカットした厚紙を差し込んでアイロンをかけます。
After edge stitching around the flap, the pocket flap is complete.
フラップ周りにコバ（端）ステッチをかけて、フラップは完成です。
